MiNiTaG
MiNiTaG is an introductory Oztag program designed specifically for children aged 5–6 years. The program provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment where young participants can develop fundamental movement skills while being introduced to the basics of Oztag.
The MiNiTaG program runs over a 7-week period, with each weekly session structured to maximise participation, learning, and enjoyment. Each session includes a series of skill-based stations that focus on teaching the core skills of Oztag, such as tagging, passing, catching, movement, coordination, and teamwork.
Following the skill stations, participants take part in a short, modified game, allowing them to apply their newly learned skills in a guided game environment.
Sessions are facilitated by our MiNiTaG Coordinators, supported by junior referees and a parent helper, ensuring children receive clear instruction, encouragement, and supervision at all times.
MiNiTaG aims to build confidence, promote physical activity, encourage social interaction, and foster a positive first experience in sport, providing an excellent pathway into junior Oztag competitions.
Registration fees also includes a shirt.
Players are required to wear Oztag shorts, which are $35, and can be purchased at the admin at the playing fields.
